Being a High School Student can be hard.

Being a high school student isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I remember having this thought that high school is so easy and you get all of this freedom and you never have to do any work. I couldn't of been more wrong! I remember starting my freshman year and within the first week I had already been assigned homework. Of course it was stupid stuff like, write a paragraph about yourself, or some other silly thing like that. Now yes I did have freedom, to a degree, but it still wasn't what I thought. I guess I can thank movies for putting that unrealistic thought in my head. Movies made it seem like you never had to show up to class to get an A or you'd never have homework. That isn't the case, or at least for me it wasn't. If I didn't show up to a class, it was almost guaranteed I was behind in someway. I'd come home everyday with some sort of homework. Now the beginning of the year isn't as hard, but once you reach midterms and finals, it suddenly becomes your worst nightmare. Not only do you have to study for the big big tests but your teachers are also giving you stacks on stacks of homework, and maybe even assigning a unit test. You could be an A+ student until finals week and then all of a sudden you're stressing out because you didn't do to hot on that test. My point is, high school isn't all rainbows and sunshine. You have to study to do good, you have to do your work, you have to put time into it. But when it gets hard, just remember it's only one part of your life. Sure passing high school is important, but grades don't define you. Just because you got a C in Chemistry does not you won't succeed in life. If you have any questions about high school or anything of the sorts, comment and I'll do my best to answer you!

Until next time, Kat.
